The usual drills of working on footwork, squaring one's body, and being in
the correct position to make a play were taught once again by the coaching staff.
Several fans and media members and littered the sidelines during the quiet,
somewhat placid, practice.
Cornerback Brandon Browner stayed glued the receivers for most the drills and
picked off a pass during the one-on-one exercises. Lawrence Turner and Aric
Williams also had picks for the defense during the scrimmages.
Following the interception by Turner, Kanan Sanchez threw a nasty hit on an
unknowing Sabby Piscitelli. Piscitelli was not injured.
Keller Christensen and Seth Lacey had opportunities, but could not hold onto
the pigskin.
James Newson continued his solid play as he made a beautiful one-handed catch
in the corner of the west endzone. Newson also dropped a couple of catchable
passes that led Richard Seigler into a friendly verbal assault.
OSU continues spring practice tomorrow at 4:00 PM at Reser, weather permitting.
