Perhaps excited about the upcoming Spring Game, practice concluded after one
hour and four-five minutes.
As a whole, the team continued to improve as the players settle in with each
other, the new terminology and the coaches.
Despite the overall improvement, the receivers had a difficult time holding
onto the ball during the 13th practice as they ran in between antsy defenders.
Jayson Boyd showed his superior speed by beating the defense three times for
big gains of 40 yards or more.
Sabby Piscitelli exhibited his speed several times by deflecting well thrown
passes. Piscitelli seemed to be an arms length away from the ball on every play.
The receivers, running backs, quarterbacks and secondary continued their one-on-one
drills as the lines practiced blocking and rushing schemes.
The offensive line did ten pushups every time they were beat by a defensive
linemen while the defensive linemen were required to do ten pushups if they
were turned away by the o-line. Each line did their fair share of pushups.
The Beavers wrap up the weekday practices at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
NOTE: The Spring Game starts at 1:00 PM. The game costs $5 to get in on game
