Beavs pack on the poundage


THE WORD "undersized" has been used regularly this offseason in regard to some OSU position groups. But a comparison of last year's roster weights to the new 2011 roster just released says that topic needs to be revisited. A d-tackle who packed on 34 pounds? A number of receivers putting on 10-plus? An OL starter who's added 18 pounds? A DE who checks in 25 pounds heavier? Yep. All that and more…

Just to note a few of the notable gainers, Dominic Glover went from a 245 pound defensive end to a 279 pound inside presence. That's 34 pounds on a 6-2 frame. Holy Crikey. The two deeps at middle linebacker are knocking on the door of the 500-pound club. Starter Feti Unga weighs 243, up 13 pounds from 230 of last year, while Tony Wilson checks in at 246, up from 231 pounds in 2010. Rueben... Recommended Stories
