OREGON STATE HEAD MAN Mike Riley said WSU QB Jeff Tuel’s mobility hurt them in last year's game, and so they’ll have to account better for him and particularly on the zone read play. Here's what else was on Riley's mind headed into Week 7...
On the injury front,
Feti Unga
and
Cameron Collins
will not practice but Riley hopes to get them back later in the week.
Tony Wilson
should be okay to go.
Ryan Murphy
and
Anthony Watkins
are probable,
Lance Mitchell
is more along the wait and see line this week.
Castro Masaniai
is of course out.
Mana Rosa
is probably the fourth DT in rotation, with
Andrew Seumalo
and
Kevin Frahm
the starters, and
Ben Motter
’s role increasing with Masaniai out.
Riley said Motter’s nickname is “Motor”, and that he is very strong.
Whether
Josh Andrews
returns to starting guard spot this week has yet to be determined, with
Grant Enger
having played well.
Riley said they will go to the running game more than they did last week. Riley hopes
Malcolm Agnew
will be 100 percent this week.
Riley laughed and said he “wasn’t surprised” that Jim Harbaugh was involved in the handshake issue this week.
Riley said
James Rodgers
is not as productive as he was coming off the knee surgeries but he’s still making plays and Riley anticipates him doing more and more.
Riley said he anticipated having
Joe Halahuni
more involved this week than last.
Riley said he can’t recall a year they’ve had as many defensive injuries.
