Riley suspends LB Josh Williams from team

OSU LINEBACKER Josh Williams has been suspended from the football team indefinitely for a violation of team rules, head man Mike Riley announced.

Mike Riley announced Friday that Josh Williams, a sophomore, had been suspended from football activities.

Williams played in four games as a true freshman last season.

Riley said Williams will have an opportunity to be reinstated at a later date pending criteria that he must meet prior to the start of the 2012 season.

The Beavers open fall camp Aug. 6 with the season opener Sept. 1 vs. Nicholls State at Reser Stadium in a game that is being televised by the Pac-12 Networks.
