OSU injury update

GRANT ENGER

MIKE RILEY OFFERED injury updates Tuesday morning on quarterback Cody Vaz, offensive guard Grant Enger and linebacker D.J. Alexander.

Mike Riley expects QB Cody Vaz to practice later this week. Riley said once Vaz "gets healthy" - and there is no assurance that will be this week – then the staff will have a decision to make, but that Sean Mannion is the starter for now.

D.J. Alexander (ribs) is "doing well" and Riley anticipates he'll be ready to play on Saturday.

Grant Enger (knee, ankle) is "getting better too" but Riley wasn't as bullish on his availability for Saturday. Riley classified him as "day-to-day." Derek Nielsen replaced Enger on Saturday after he went down.

None of the three practiced yesterday.

RILEY WAS CONCERNED following the loss to Stanford about a letdown but said the Beavs came out strong yesterday in practice.

"This team has been consistent," said Riley.

NOTABLE NOTE:
Oregon State kicker Trevor Romaine was named the Pac-12 Conference's special teams player of the week on Monday. Romaine was three-of-three on field goals from 19, 42 and 44 yards and made both extra points in the 27-23 loss to Stanford on Saturday.
