GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Oregon Ducks hold a 22-10 lead at the half of the 2013 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. The game started off with an electrifying 94-yard touchdown kickoff return for a touchdown by De'Anthony Thomas. Dion Jordan caught a lateral and ran the ball in for a 2-point conversion to go up 8-0 over the Kansas State Wildcats.

Later on in the quarter
Thomas
caught a 24-yard pass from
Oregon
quarterback
Marcus Mariota
for Thomas' second touchdown of the game.
Alejandro Maldonado
kicked the point after and Oregon lead 15-0.
Kansas State
scored in the second quarter when KSU's signal caller
Collin Klein
ran the ball in from six yards out.
Anthony Cantele
made the point after and the Wildcats cut the lead to 15-7.
Cantele kicked a 25-yard field goal later on to make it 15-10 Oregon and when the Ducks failed to convert on a fake punt giving KSU good field position it appeared that the scored would even become closer. However, when the Oregon defense forced the Wildcats to attempt a 40-yard field goal attempt, the attempt missed and Oregon took over on its own 23 with exactly one minute left in the half.
Mariota hit tight end
Colt Lyerla
for 23 yards then followed up by handing the ball off to
Kenjon Barner
, who rushed for 13. With the clock stopping to move the chains, Mariota missed on a passing attempt but then hit Lyerla again for 17 yards moving the ball to the KSU 24. Mariota then hit Barner on a swing route that was good for 25 yards and a touchdown. Maldonado was good on the PAT and the score was 22-10, Oregon.
Statistically, Oregon had 158 yards of total offense compared to KSU's 170. Mariota had 106 yards passing on 6-of-12 passing and one TD, while Klein was 11-of-18 for 104 yards but was intercepted on the last play of the half.
