Massillon (OH) quarterback Kyle Kempt has seen interest pick up since decommitting from Cincinnati…
Is this the Beavs' QB of the future?
"I'm very excited to go out there and visit, I don't know what to expect really so I'm just going into it with an open mind," said Kempt.
Kempt is scheduled to trip to Oregon State on Jan. 25. He will also take a midweek official to Toledo on Jan. 22.
"I'm just looking for a good fit for me, I'll know it when I see it," said Kempt.
KEMPT WAS A second-team all-league pick after passing for a single-season school record 3,056 yards.
Kempt's career yardage total of 6,034 is also a record. He threw 32 touchdowns against 10 interceptions this season.
The 6-5, 200-pound Kempt originally committed to Cincinnati back in the spring over offers from West Virginia, Tennessee and others.
But after the coaching change there opened things back up again. Tommy Tuberville had been there about a week when Kempt and Cincy parted ways.
KEMPT MAY BE in Ohio but he's well familiar with the Beavs and the Beaver state. He is an Oregon native, living in Portland for 10 years and unofficially visited Oregon State when he was a sophomore.
"I have offers from Utah and Toledo… Toledo has a great staff and it's close to home too," said Kempt, who said he has had multiple in-homes with Toledo in recent weeks.
