Beavers Land Mitchell

Nick Mitchell and Mike Riley

Snoqualmie (Wash.) Mount Si quarterback Nick Mitchell has become the first commit in the Beavers 2014 class...

When we spoke with Snoqualmie (Wash.) Mount Si quarterback Nick Mitchell earlier this week he stated he was close to making a decision. We had no idea how close he was.

Mitchell committed to Oregon State Friday afternoon. His father, Jeff, broke the news, tweeting the picture above and the comment below.

"Nick Mitchell with Oregon State head coach, Mike Riley, after committing to play football!"

His older brother is current Beaver offensive lineman Josh Mitchell. The younger Mitchell is currently on an unofficial visit in Corvallis and we will have comments from him as soon as possible.
