Radio: Adarius Pickett, Next Tyler Gaffney?

DB/OF Adarius Pickett

Adarius Pickett is a two-sport star hoping for a Stanford offer. He's being pursued by virtually every other California college football program, but baseball also holds a special interest in his heart. Hear him talk about the Cardinal's recent Junior Day and practice.

East Bay native Adarius Pickett (El Cerrito) visited Stanford for Junior Day this past Saturday and loved the physicality of the Cardinal's goal line war to end the festivities. He's a defensive back that loves contact near the line of scrimmage.

Although Pickett does not yet hold a Stanford offer (USC and Cal are both at or near the top of his current list), his love for physical football and his excellence on the baseball diamond may cause some to draw comparisons to current Cardinal running back Tyler Gaffney. Pickett is currently hitting .425 as an outfielder for his baseball team, and -- like Gaffney -- he's not afraid of being plunked, as he's been hit by about 10 pitches already this season.

Listen on as Pickett evaluates his first Stanford experience since a camp last summer.
