"You have no idea how jacked I was, especially when it was the first time I actually talked to Coach (Lewis) Powell from Hawaii when he offered," said Demps.
San Jose State followed suit not long after, a little less of a surprise, since Demps camped there last summer.
"San Jose State wasn't as big of a surprise because I want to their camp last year and they liked me and have kept interest," said Demps. "I guess you can say Hawaii wasn't as big a surprise because I was talking to Coach Powell over Facebook for a while. He said that he saw my film and fell in love with it."
Demps plays both receiver and safety, but said both offers came as a receiver.
And another school could be close.
"I think Tulsa could be, but other than that, I'm not sure who's close to offering, but anything can happen," said Demps.
Academically, Demps has a 3.5 and will take the SAT this spring.
As a junior, Demps had 39 receptions for 620 yards and 12 touchdowns and added 42 tackles, three pass deflections and two interceptions.
