OREGON STATE's basketball prospects got a bounce on Tuesday when Eric Moreland announced that he…
Decision Day for Beavs' Moreland
His announcement will come one day ahead of the Tuesday NCAA deadline where underclassmen must either withdraw or lose their college eligibility.
Moreland averaged 10.6 rebounds per game for Oregon State (14-18) this past season, placing him in the nation's top ten. His 2.52 blocked shots per game were in the top 25.
But at 215 pounds, he would decidedly be on the lighter side in the NBA post. His offensive game has yet to flourish in the Pac-12, at 9.4 ppg last season. His athleticism, however, is high up on the charts.
"We are going in the right direction, and I definitely want to be a part of it," Moreland said of the Beavers to the Oregonian back in late March, adding that money is "probably the least important factor" in the decision.
If Moreland were to leave early, it would be a blow to the Beavs' frontcourt and a player not so easily replaced.
Monday's press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m.
