THE FALL CAMP schedule for Oregon State is out. The first day of camp, as has been known for some time, is Aug. 5. Most practices will begin at 11 a.m. On two-a-days, the second session will start at 6:30 p.m. The first day with shells is Aug. 8 and the first full-pad practice kicks off on Aug. 9.
All practices are open to the public (times and dates are listed below). The first five practices are the NCAA-mandated “acclimatization” period.

When head coach
leads his squad onto the practice field less than two weeks from today, it will have been 218 days since the Beavers last played at the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.
Riley and his staff will have 27 days and 28 practices to find reinforcements after the graduations of stars
at split end,
at middle linebacker and
at right tackle.
However, the 2013 roster includes 56 returning letterwinners that have combined to make 291 starts including 88 combined starts on the offensive line. Individually, the Beavers are led by senior left tackle
(35), senior cornerback
(25), senior linebacker
(24) and junior defensive end
Beaver players are on most of the preseason watch lists including:
– Maxwell Award (top player), Biletnikoff Award (top receiver); Scott Crichton - Bronko Nagurski Award (top defender), Bednarik Award (top defender), Lott Trophy (top defender);
– Ray Guy Award (top punter); Rashaad Reynolds – Jim Thorpe Award (top defensive back);
– Groza Award (top kicker);
– Rimington Award (top center), Outland Award (top interior lineman);
– Doak Walker Award (top running back).
OSU opens the year at Reser Stadium against Eastern Washington, Sat., Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
