OSU hoops game suspended indefinitely

ROBERTO NELSON

THE OREGON STATE men's basketball game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Gill Coliseum, originally scheduled for noon on Saturday, was first postponed until Sunday at 2 p.m. due to inclement weather, then suspended indefinitely. The Golden Lions were unable to get out of Dallas due to the weather.

A makeup date for later this season remainspossible.

Oregon State (3-2) was to be opening a three-game homestand. The Beavs will now face Maryland Eastern Shore next Sunday (3 p.m.) followed by a Wednesday night tilt against Towson (7 p.m.). The Pac-12 Networks will televise both of those games.

Oregon State has shot 50 percent or better in each of its last four games, including back-to-back contests at 60 percent or better.

Roberto Nelson (25.4) and Devon Collier (23.0) are first and second in the Pac-12 in scoring -- and the top scoring tandem in the nation.

Nelson earlier this season became the 20th player in Oregon State history to reach the 1,200-point mark.

Collier has scored 20-plus points in three consecutive games for the first time in his career, including a career-high 32 in the loss to DePaul.

Angus Brandt is averaging 15.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in the three games at Gill Coliseum.

Victor Robbins has shot over 50 percent in all five games.

Hallice Cooke is second on the team at 1.8 assists per game, with all nine coming in the last four games.

Eric Moreland is suspended for the first 14 regular-season games for an unspecified violation of team rules. He is slated to return shortly after Pac-12 play begins.
