Grool's keys to the game

I can feel it in my bones....this week the Beavers will get back on track.

Even though New Mexico is hungry for revenge after the spanking Oregon State gave them in Vegas, I just don't think the Lobos are going to be able to hang with Oregon State if they can do the following three things.

1. Contain the Quarterback
Contain the quarterback in the pocket and get early run support from the linebackers.  I don't think I can take another week of the quarterback running for long first downs.

2. Better use of the Tight-Ends
Get the ball to any of the Beavers talented tight ends as New Mexico will blitz their linebackers all day. Derek Anderson needs to figure out how to use the "hot route" option...I think you push down on the controller and hit the triangle.

3. STOP DONTRELL MOORE
Easier said then done, but the men in black have done it before.  UNM's offensive linemen are HUGE and the defensive line and linebackers need to play their roll within Mark Banker's gap cancellation scheme to stop the run.  Good support from the secondary is essential to holding the Lobos to short yard gains.

Prediction: Beavs 42- NM 17
