Skylar Jessen to announce today

WILL IT BE Oregon State or Washington State? Skylar Jessen has decided, and the Spokane running back will make his announcement tonight during the 5 o'clock hour on a local television station.

It's come down to the Beavers and the Cougars for Skylar Jessen and while his nearby home in Spokane might augur well for WSU, the Beavers have certainly made it a battle. Chief among the reasons is the Oregon State coaching staff.

Jessen forged a strong relationship with coaches Mike Riley and Bruce Read over the phone this summer. During his visit to Corvallis earlier this month, Jessen was able to spend more time face to face with the coaches and talk about the depth chart, where he'd be living and get a better feel for the OSU program.

Jessen's father, Daniel Dami, said the announcement will likely come sometime before 5:30pm this evening on KHQ-TV. Stay tuned to BeaverFootball.com for complete coverage.
