Four star corner holds OSU offer

ONLY ONE CORNERBACK is listed among the Oregon State 2006 Letters-of-Intent, and junior Coye Francies came to Corvallis as a JC transfer. The position is one of the harder ones to recruit in college football -- good corners are hard to find. One of the Beaver targets for '07 and holding an OSU offer is David Ross out Compton, Calif., a long defensive back and four star prospect.

A couple programs (USC and Cal) have talked to Ross (6-1, 170, 4.5) about playing safety but OSU and just about everyone else sees his D-IA future out on the island. And there are a lot of schools. "I don't even know how many offers I have, I think it's about 19 or 20," said the Dominguez High standout.
