Another overcast, but dry day greeted the Oregon State football team as they
practiced on the grass again
OG Roy Schuening suited up for the first time this spring after
sitting out to rest his hamstring. LB Derrick Doggett continued to sit
out with back spasms.
The secondary continued to play at a high level as the receivers struggled to
hold onto the ball. CB Tim Clark picked off a Ryan Gunderson pass.
The team throws on the pads for the first time Friday.
On the secondary - "Pretty darn good. I have been impressed with
the speed. Derrick Doggett isn't even practicing right now and he is one
of our fastest players. Our defense looks fast. Our corners - it is really
neat to see - because all of those who have watched our team have seen those
corners come from young freshman that were getting burned to really reliable,
good, consistent players. That is one of the most exciting parts to me."
