National Football Foundation honors Koets

Former Oregon State University student-athlete Adam Koets has been inducted into the inaugural class of the National Football Foundation's National Honor Society for his accomplishments in the classroom and on the football field.

Koets, from Santa Ana , Calif. , was a three-time Pac-10 Conference Second Team All-Academic selection. He also was named to the conference's Second Team for his playing performance at offensive tackle on three occasions.

The sixth round draft selection of the New York Giants in last month's NFL Draft has graduated from Oregon State with a bachelor's degree in international business with a minor in German.

Koets was one of two individuals from the Pac-10 to be honored by the NFF.

Over the last two seasons Oregon State has had 20 football student-athletes selected to the Pac-10 All-Academic teams, tied for the second-highest number in the league. A total of 33 current football student-athletes have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA through winter term.
