Spring Ball: Two deeps - Defense

THE OSU two deeps on defense headed into spring ball. “If you look at the roster breakdown on paper you would think that we lost a lot of production, and to some point we did,” Mike Riley said. “But we also have a number of guys who were in the regular rotation last year and who are ready to be those starters. I have a lot of confidence that we will continue to be a very good defensive team.”

The Beavs are counting on the experience of Victor Butler up front for more plays this season like the one against Washington State pictured above.

One to watch: Keith Pankey now sits atop the pre-spring depth chart at the weakside linebacker spot. Meanwhile, Keaton Kristick is No. 1 at the strongside 'backer while Bryant Cornell assumes the starting spot in the middle this spring.
