Former Oregon State standout tight end and veteran NFL player Tim Euhus has officially rejoined the Beaver football team as a graduate assistant coach working with the offense.

Euhus (pronounced YOU-us) will return to school for spring term in pursuit of a master’s degree after graduating from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering management in 2004.

The Eugene, Ore., native played in 49 career games at Oregon State from 2000-2003, starting 37. The Churchill graduate was a first team All-Pac-10 Conference selection as a senior after concluding his career with 98 receptions, then a school record for tight ends, for 1,346 yards. He also helped the Beavers play in three bowl games.

Euhus was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 2004 NFL Draft, where he played two seasons and started nine games. He also has played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2006 and the Arizona Cardinals in 2007.

Euhus replaces Ahmed Zarrugh, who has been named graduate assistant coach at Western Washington University. Former graduate assistant for offense Gary Beck has filled Zarrugh’s position as a graduate assistant for administration.
