IT'S THE OFFSEASON BUT there are still links from in and around cyberspace to be found in recent days on the black and orange. And what would June be without a win-loss prediction on the Beavers' 2008 season. Will Oregon State go bowling and if so, in which locale might they find themselves?
I always talk highly of the Beavers going to Las Vegas, and not only because it’s Vegas. My wife loves bowl games before Christmas. When she’s happy, I’m happy. So Vegas and Poinsettia are my favorite bowls in the Pac-10 lineup.

booted a 17-yard field goal with one second left to give his team a 19-16 win over the Montreal Alouettes in the teams' final pre-season game last night. Serna, replacing veteran Troy Westwood who was released last Sunday after 17 years, was also good on field goals from 37, 22 and 15 yards in front of a capacity crowd 29,553 fans at Canad Inns Stadium.

Matt Hayes over at the Sporting News has been ranking the non-conference schedules of each conference, and just ranked the Pac-10. Lets be clear about this: The Pac-10 has the best scheduling in the nation...Below is how Matt ranked the toughness of Pac-10 schedules, and I pretty much agree with the rankings:

It's only been fifteen days since the start of the 2008 MLB Draft, but many of the former Oregon State players that were drafted have started their professional careers. Not all of these players have played a game with their teams yet, but at least we'll get an idea of how they're doing:
