VERBAL: Beavers land Oklahoma playmaker


ON THE PLANE ride home from Corvallis on Saturday following an unofficial visit, Oklahoma receiver prospect Tramaine Thompson made up, at Mike Riley's suggestion, a list of all the pluses and minuses of accepting the OSU offer he had received in June. The finished ledger was weighted heavily on the plus side, so much so that he called up Oregon State on Monday morning and became a Beaver.

And he just might have the term "fly sweep" written all over him.
