Oct. 28, 2006 -
#13 USC 24, Oregon
State 3
For the first time since September, Southern California lived up to its
preseason hype Saturday night.
QB
John David Booty passed for 157 yards and two touchdowns in his first game in
four weeks, the USC defense was overpowering with nine sacks, and the
13th-ranked Trojans defeated Oregon State 24-3.
The victory was USC's 21st straight over the Beavers at the Los Angeles
Coliseum, dating back to 1960, and raised the Trojans' record to 21-0 in
November games under coach Pete Carroll ...

Oct. 28, 2006 - Oregon State 33, #3 USC 31
Oregon State and undefeated (6-0) USC met at Corvallis and the Beavers held
off a late Trojan rally to upset No. 3-ranked USC 33-31, snapping the Trojans'
27-game Pac-10 winning streak.
OSU PK Alexis
Serna's fourth field goal of the game had given the Beavers a 33-10 lead
late in the third quarter, but SC came storming back. Trojan QB John
David Booty threw three late touchdown passes to draw USC to 33-31,
but Beaver DE Jeff Van Orsow batted down Booty's two point conversion
attempt with seven seconds left to preserve the win.
The 33 points by
the Beavers were their most against the Trojans since getting 38 in the initial
game of the series in 1914. USC out gained OSU 492-351 as Booty passed for 406
yards and the three TDs, but the Trojans were done in by four turnovers, their
most since 2003.
RB Clinton Polk,
filling in for injured All-Pac-10 RB Yvenson Bernard, rushed for an even 100

Sept. 13, 2008 in Los Angeles - USC 35, Ohio State 3
In a game that had the feel of a Rose Bowl, the Trojans led by their
dominating defense and big play offense made another Big Ten heavyweight look
quite ordinary on Saturday night in front of 93,607 delighted fans at the Los
Angeles Coliseum.
It was great to play again at the Coliseum with all the build up this week,”
said Pete Carroll following the Trojan 35-3 victory. “To have it happen like
this it just worked out beautifully." ... more

Sept. 13, 2008 in Corvallis - Oregon State 45, Hawaii 7
AFTER AN UNEVEN start, Oregon State methodically wore down Hawaii on Saturday
in Corvallis, racking up 200-plus rushing yards in a 45-7 victory. RB Jacquizz Rodgers went over the century mark and the Lyle Moevao-to-Shane Morales
connection was clicking. And the OSU defense, in stretches, played the 11 hats
flying to the football type of D the Beaver Nation has been looking for this
season.
