and intercepted five Beaver passes to storm back for the win. Oregon State piled
up 514 yards total offense, including 324 through the air, but were done in

ASU’s Michael Jones pulled in four receptions for 124 yards (31.0-yard

Arizona State played in Corvallis...
Nov. 4, 2006 in Corvallis - Oregon State 44, Arizona State 10
The Oregon State offense, led by the smart play of QB Matt Moore and the tough
running of RB Yvenson Bernard scored 17 unanswered points to start the game
cruising to a 44-10 victory over Arizona State for OSU's fourth straight conference
win. The 34-point margin of victory is the most ever against ASU.
Moore finished
17 of 31 for 282 yards and one touchdown, but it was his running that stole
the show rushing five times for a career best 44 yards. QB Sammie Stroughter
led the Beavers with five catches for 95 yards.
ASU QB Rudy Carpenter
had the worst game of his career completing just 9 of 27 for 124 yards, no touchdowns
and two interceptions.
The Beavers outgained
the Sun Devils 403 to 223 and did not turnover the ball ... more

Arizona State played...
Oct. 25, 2008 in Tempe - Oregon 54, Arizona State 20
After suffering four straight defeats, the Sun Devils talked about playing
a new season. Finishing the last six games on a high note was the rally cry
and ASU had a bye week to regroup for this task.
Alas, following
their 54-20 loss to Oregon, it was a replay of their four-game skid. It was
a performance that left a team donning all maroon on Saturday night, red in
their face and frustrated.
“They kicked our rear ends in every aspect of the game,” said head coach Dennis
Erickson. “There’s not much else to say other than they controlled the game.” ...

PASS FIRST. THAT's been the stratagem of the Oregon State staff on the
opening drive(s) of the game -- the thinking being you loosen the defense before
cranking up the Quizz Show. On Saturday, it was the Quan Show.
On the road in
Husky Stadium, James Rodgers went wild, with two 50-plus yard touchdown runs
plus a long middle screen catch to the house. Meanwhile, what about that Beaver
D.
The Beaver defense kept the UW out of the end zone until 11:59 remained in the
fourth quarter. By that time James Rodgers and the Oregon State offense, and
the Beaver D, had already put this one out of reach. And the D still had one
more goal line stand to come ... more
