The
starting practice time each day is tentatively scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
The month long session will conclude on Sat., May 2 with
the annual spring game, scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
“I’m excited about the 2009 team,” coach Mike Riley
said. “We’ve got some work to do, but we’ve got some excellent replacements."
One of the primary concerns heading into spring ball
will be the replacement of eight starters on defense - including all of the
starters in the secondary - and three of four players on the defensive line.
Offensively the team looks to fill three gaps on the
offensive line along with one receiver.
