BELIEVE IT or not, but spring practice is just a little over 10 weeks away -- Oregon State released the spring practice schedule this week and the Beavers kickoff with the first of fifteen practices on Mon., Mar. 30 and will will practice every Mon., Wed., and Fri. of April with the annual spring game slated for May 2.

The starting practice time each day is tentatively scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

The month long session will conclude on Sat., May 2 with the annual spring game, scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.

“I’m excited about the 2009 team,” coach Mike Riley said. “We’ve got some work to do, but we’ve got some excellent replacements."

One of the primary concerns heading into spring ball will be the replacement of eight starters on defense - including all of the starters in the secondary - and three of four players on the defensive line.

Offensively the team looks to fill three gaps on the offensive line along with one receiver.

CB Tim Clark will be battling for a starting cornerback spot in the spring.
