POLL: Canfield or Moevao?
MOEVAO OR CANFIELD: What's your pick?

NOTHING IN FOOTBALL generates interest and controversy like a debate on the starting quarterback. And Mike Riley for a few years now has had two field generals alternating at the top spot. This offseason, Riley has made clear he isn't publicly declaring either of his seniors-to-be the starter. But as they prepare to enter their final OSU fall camp, that won't stop us from asking you the question..
That question is of course predicated on the notion that
Lyle Moevao
will be ready to roll coming off shoulder surgery, as Riley and Oregon State have projected he will be, for fall camp and by the time the opener rolls around on Sep. 5.
If not, it will be
Sean Canfield
's job -- in the same way it was Moevao's job at the beginning of last seasons when Canfield was sidelined with a surgically repaired shoulder.
But assuming Moevao is ready, consider that he started 11 games last year and at one point, deep in the '08 season, was leading the Pac-10 in passing efficiency.
On the other hand, Canfield shined last year when Moevao was injured. Among the highlights, a comeback victory against Arizona destined to be long remembered around the Willamette Valley. And he recently wrapped up a stellar spring ball session, the performance on the last day notwithstanding.
So the question is this, would you go with Canfield or Moevao?
Who should be the %%MATCH_5%% State starting QB?
