BREAKING: Beavs land sought 3-star defenseman

HE GREW UP in California but a school in the Northwest caught his eye at an early age -- Oregon State. He earned double digit scholarship offers as a defensive/offensive line prospect coming off a strong junior season -- including three from Pac-10 schools. And today, after weighing all the decision factors, he went orange and black.

"I verbally committed today to Oregon State," said Thomas Molesi. "I made up my mind yesterday. I talked to my family and they said it was a great decision and will be a good experience for me to go out (of state)." Molesi, out of Oceanside, Calif., becomes the fifth known Oregon State verbal in the 2009 class, joining C/G Roman Sapolu, QB Sean Mannion, LB Michael Bibbee and TE Tyler Perry...
