FALL CAMP DAY 8: Katz catch, Hendu shines


CORVALLIS -- With starting quarterback Sean Canfield sitting out of practice on Tuesday, a typical day of rest, it was redshirt freshman Ryan Katz' chance to shine, participating in all drills with the first team offense today. And boy did he show up. CB Patrick Henderson did too, and he wasn't the only one.

Senior wideout Damola Adeniji also sat out of today's practice, which gave freshmen Markus Wheaton and Jordan Bishop more time to learn the ropes of the first string, and give them experience with a tough Oregon State secondary that had shut down the passing game the night before.
