CORVALLIS -- The Beaver D looked further along than at this point last year, but that may have been…
SCRIMMAGE ONE: Drives 6-10
Canfield had to throw the ball away when the receiver was tightly covered by corner Brandon Hardin in the deep.
Damola Adeniji makes a short catch and lowers a shoulder into James Dockery near the sideline. He manages to knock Dockery down but Dockery and David Pa'aluhi manage to bring Adeniji down.

Jordan Bishop makes a spectacular catch only to see a flag on the play for a false start. Nonetheless, one heck of a diving catch by the freshman.
Ryan Allen punts to the 5 yard line, but the roll takes the ball in to the end zone.
Drive: 7 QB: Ryan Katz
Another pass play of 10-plus yards is called back because of penalty -- nice catch by Casey Kjos goes for naught.
Katz overthrows a wide open Taylor Kavanaugh, and then a ball in the flat is off target. Keo Camat puts and end to the offensive misery on the next play with a nice pick after the ball is deflected.
Camat returns it all the way to the 1-yard line where Katz manages to push him out of bounds. Kamat got some good natured ribbing from his teammates about a QB running him out at the 1-yard line.
Drive: 8 QB: Peter Lalich
Alas, this could have easily been the worst of all the drives on the day.
Penalties and sloppy play results in the line of scrimmage about 12 yards behind where the drive started.
The defense is starting to dominate the offense at this point.
Drive: 9 QB: Ryan Katz
The offense tries to reestablish themselves – and put together a touchdown drive.
Markus Wheaton makes a nice grab and run but Rashaad Reynolds manages to jar the ball lose. Referees rule that Wheaton was down but had the play gone upstairs, it almost certainly would have been ruled a fumble.
Jordan Bishop continued his good form with the TD reception diving in the end zone, grabbing the pass right before it hit the turf.
