Will Quizz play?
JACQUIZZ RODGERS

A DINGED UP college football player often is held out during practice week, but then starts on Saturday. Not a big deal. But recent published reports indicated there might be more to Jacquizz Rodgers' ankle than customary soreness. With the game just hours away, the availability of Quizz remains in question. Here's what Mike Riley had to say right after practice today.
Jacquizz Rodgers
will be a gametime decision following practice today in Corvallis.
"He looked good today," said
Mike Riley
per the Oregon State SID. "We will see how he feels tomorrow."
While not definitive, it's a sight better than things looked yesterday at this time.
Riley wasn't exactly brimming with confidence after yesterday's session.
"My feeling is, if he's not feeling pretty darn good (Friday), then he won't play," said Riley to the Oregonian.
The paper reported Quizz was planning on full participation in Thursday's practice but had to shut it down. That caused people to sit up and take notice.
"It told me a lot," said Riley. "...He started practice yesterday, and then he stopped.''
If Quizz isn't ready to go,
Jovan Stevenson
would take his place with
Jordan Jenkins
the No. 2. Stevenson has been getting in lots of work with the 1's this week and he's shown flashes in the early going, including a nimble 23-yard scamper last week.
But if the Beavs do end up without the reigning Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year, Oregon State takes a hit on offense, no two ways about it.
The Beavs already were to have their hands full with No. 17 Cincinnati in town. It's a game many think will be decided by which offense has the most firepower on Saturday.
