Beavs-ASU picked up for broadcast

IF YOU have DirecTV, you might want to think about getting tickets, or cranking up the radio. Both of the Beavers' next two games, against the Arizona schools, will be televised by Versus. As of today, Versus remains unavailable on DirecTV. The Oct. 3 broadcast vs. ASU was announced today, and the game with the Wildcats this weekend will also be on Versus this weekend with a 4:30 p.m. start time.

Ron Thulin, Kelly Stouffer and Lewis Johnson will call the action for versus from Reser Stadium this weekend when the Beavs host Arizona.

The following week, kickoff is scheduled for approximately 4 p.m. PDT at Sun Devil Stadium on versus.

The ASU will mark the 23rd consecutive live televised game for Oregon State.

Tickets for both games are available online, or between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. via the telephone at 1-800-Go-Beavs or in person at the Gill Coliseum ticket office.

For DirecTV viewers: Versus and DirecTV have resumed negotiations according to published reports but the talks have yet to yield a return to the airwaves for Versus on the satellite carrier. The channel went dark on DirecTV three weeks ago, back on Sept. 1.
