The Orange Attack: Week 4
JACQUIZZ RODGERS

I'M SEEING THE Beaver offensive line struggle in virtually all facets of the game -- pass blocking, run blocking. They're giving up a ton of sacks and two games in a row, Jacquizz Rodgers has failed to notch 100 yards on the ground. But then I take a look at the statistics...
And I see that
Jacquizz Rodgers
is actually averaging more ypc this year (5.5) than he did last season (4.8).
And Oregon State leads the conference in passing offense.
Lance Mitchell
has stepped up and been an absolute ball hawk, already notching a pair of forced turnovers this season, making good open field tackles and generally looking like a solid free safety.
Tim Clark
has shown showed excellent coverage skills on the other side of the ball.
But Oregon State's pass defense has been statistically horrific this season.
As Mark Twain would say; "Lies, damned lies and statistics."
1 - USC: The Trojans move back to the top by default, after throttling a hapless Washington State.
2 - UCLA: Again, a move by default. UCLA comes off a bye to face Stanford this week. Rubber, meet road.
3 - Oregon: Dismantling a dragon, even a paper dragon, gets you into the top 3.
4 - Arizona: Cats look like a bona fide dark horse contender, for a week at least.
5 - Arizona State: Losing at Georgia at the very last second is nothing to be ashamed of.
6 - Stanford: Stanford probably deserves to be higher than 6, considering they are atop the Pac 10 standings. Nobody ever said I was fair or impartial.
7 - Washington: Husky players reportedly still asking if anybody got the license number of the truck that ran them over. Some report seeing "Gerhart" on the back.
8 - Oregon State: No pass rush, suspect offensive line hamper Beavers and point to long road ahead.
9 - Cal: Whoa, what was that Tedford?
10 - Washington State: If I had a heart Cal would be in last place this week following their goose egg in Eugene. But I don't.
