THE LAS VEGAS BOWL, matching two Top 20 teams in Oregon State and BYU and being held as early as it is in the bowl schedule, offers a number of positives for traveling fans. For example, the room rates in Las Vegas headed into the bowl game are, according to one newspaper report, unthinkably low.

But you may be out of luck if you've been pining to see Donny and Marie. Still, for those making the trip, perhaps you can dry your tears thinking of the money you’ll save.

Oregon State (No. 16, 20) will play a school record fourth straight bowl game when they meet BYU (No. 14, 15 ) in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 22. Per Oregon State, ticket orders for all Beaver fans are available now by calling 1-800-GOBEAVS or online at osubeavers.com. The Las Vegas Bowl tickets are $50 each and each order will have a $35 handling charge. Tickets will be shipped by Dec. 15 via UPS Next Day Air.
