IT'S BEEN HARD figuring out, as the non-conference part of the slate winds down, these hardcourt Beavs thus far. Turnovers devastated the men's basketball team in the Windy City last night, as Illinois-Chicago picked up its first ever win against a Pac-10 school defeating Oregon State 63-61 Wednesday. It was, as indicated by head man Craig Robinson's post game comments, as ugly as ugly gets.

GAME RECAP

Oregon State's struggles continued on the road as Robo Kreps hit a lay up with 5.6 seconds to play as Illinois-Chicago defeated OSU 63-61.  It was UIC's first win over a Pac-10 team.

The Flames improved to 2-6 while OSU fell to 4-5.

G Seth Tarver paced the Beavers with 17 points on 8 of 12 shooting, but also had five turnovers.
