IT'S BEEN EXPECTED for a while and now it's finally official. Running back Terron Ward, who piled up over 2,000 ground yards his senior season at storied De La Salle High in California, sent in his signed Letter of Intent late yesterday to Oregon State and is now officially part of the Beaver family.

Ward, who faxed over his signed Letter of Intent late on Thursday according to Oregon State Sports Information, had quite a senior season.

Out of Concord, Calif., Ward (5-7, 185) was the Bay Area News Group-East Bay Player of the Year, earned All-State honors and was the driving ground force in leading De La Salle to another championship this past season.

As reported earlier on BF.C, Ward was offered a grayshirt two days after Signing Day, back on Feb. 5, by the Beavs. He will delay enrollment and arrive in Corvallis in January of 2011.

Ward, the younger brother of Oregon safety T.J. Ward, rushed for 2,038 ground yards with 26 touchdowns this past season.
