The green arrow
means the coaches have talked favorably about the player to the press or the
individual has performed well. A sideways means... A down arrow
means the player has suffered an injury, an off the field incident or is not
performing up to standards.
So.
Ryan Katz (6-1, 209) - this is his third spring with
the Beavs -- he graduated
early from high school in 2008...excellent arm strength...has put in
lots of time studying the playbook...played in four games in 2009 completing
14 of 27 passes (51.9%) for 232 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions...first
career touchdown pass was a 31-yarder to Damola Adeniji in the Las Vegas Bowl...already
taking a leadership role...just needs to get rid of the ball quicker, which
means he has a better of the offense...needs to control his arm and not try
to rifle every throw

Jr. Peter Lalich (6-4, 222) - sat
out last year after transferring from the University of Virginia...had
two career starts at Virginia where
he completed 39 of 74 (52%) passes for 359 yards, zero touchdowns and three
interceptions...still petitioning the NCAA to have another year of
eligibility...has a fluid throwing
motion...pouted when he arrived on campus, but got his head on straight during
the season

in 2009, will battle for No. 3 spot...a pocket passer with a nice, tight spiral...a

last year, will battle for No. 3 spot...gets rid of the ball quickly...smart
and has the feet to scramble...has improved arm strength significantly, but

Jr. Jacquizz Rodgers (5-7, 188) - a 2010 Heisman Trophy candidate...nicknamed
"The Money" because of his worth to the team, also goes by Quizz...a
well rounded player who can block, catch and run equally as well...competed
in the UW Last Chance Meet in the 60-meter dash checking in at 7.24...first
team all-conference in 2010...23 career starts, 13 straight...tied a school
record for the most points for a season by a Beaver with 132...his 22 total
touchdowns, (21 rushing) tied for third in the nation...fourth at OSU with
2,693 career rushing yards...school record holder for single season rushing
touchdowns 21...Associated Press third team All-American...the fifth player
in school history to post multiple 1,000 yard rushing seasons...named the
fourth best player in the Pac-10 by Ted Miller of ESPN.com
So. Jovan Stevenson (5-11, 183) - one of eight true freshman to play
in 2009...ran for 138 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries (5.3 ypc), caught
five passes for 59 yards...only tackled once for loss of yardage...solid hands...hits
the hole quickly...needs to work on his blocking to become a well rounded
back...good cutting ability in traffic
Sr. Ryan McCants
(6-1, 229) - played in four games in 2009 after coming off of knee surgery
he suffered in the spring...carried the ball just six times for 26 yards...three
career starts...for his career he has 91 carries for 363 yards (3.8 ypc) and
two touchdowns with a long of 35 yards, seven receptions for 34 yards...needs
to run with authority and purpose if he wants playing time...sometimes runs
too upright
So. Jordan Jenkins
(6-1, 211) - Riley said in spring of 2010, "He has come on and worked
hard. I can see him moving up the depth chart.”...named offensive scout MVP
after the 2008 and 2009 seasons...had a strong showing last spring and fall...a
powerful runner...could see his time increase due to lack of depth at running
back...played in nine games last year carrying the ball two times for six
yards...Riley said in March of '09, "“He has come on and worked

(6-6, 288) - if healthy will push for playing time...made a huge leap in development
last year before hurting his knee in the spring and missing all of the 2009
season...dropped 20 pounds from 2008 to spring practice of 2009...Cavanaugh
says his "feet and pass sets have improved dramatically"...a very
hard worker...needs to be more consistent and use his length more effectively

good as he wants to be...close to being a dominate center, just needs a little
tweaking in regards to his calls and command of the offense...looking for
a big leap and Pac-10 honors as a senior...added around six pounds to his
frame, but still kept his mobility since end of '09

speed and elusiveness...Riley sees him more of a Sammie Stroughter type player

the 60-meter dash checking in at 6.82 - the fastest time by a football player
this year...one of eight true freshman to play in 2009...one

a track event yet...with Casey Kjos quitting football Walker jumped

cornerbacks as a freshman...Riley said in spring of 2010, "He has a lot
of ability and it’s time for him to step up."

battled various nagging injuries throughout his career...a former wrestler...a

(5-11, 177) - Riley said in spring of 2010, "I'm excited about his ability.
We know he's fast. Now he has to become a football player. He has to have
some awareness out there"... participated in the 2010 UW Last Chance
Meet in the 60-meter dash finishing with a time of 6.86, also ran in the Husky
Indoor Classic finishing with a top 20 time...slowed down by a shoulder injury
in 2009...did not record a statistic last year...one of the fastest players
on the team

Reynolds (5-10, 177) - competed in the 2010 UW Last Chance Meet in the
60-meter dash running 7.27, also ran in the Husky Indoor Classic...expected
to compete for playing time...added 12 pounds during redshirt year...looks
