With its good weather and booming population Arizona is a destination that is fertile for recruiting both in the high school and junior college ranks.  Arizona and Arizona State generally fill up a fourth or more of their rosters with home state talent.

Historically the Beavers have had a decent although now slowing pipeline from Arizona with two to three from the state that is home to the Grand Canyon.

The battles that OSU faces in Arizona are recruiting against the hometown Pac-10 teams, Arizona and Arizona State, and the difference in weather between Oregon and Arizona.
