The chance to get out of their home state, but stay in the Northwest and play in the Pac-10 in front of family and friends is an alluring offer to many Washington prep athletes.

The state of Washington produces around 10 Division I recruits a year and the Beavers have a shot at almost all of them.

The biggest obstacle the staff faces when recruiting in Washington is going against the Huskies and Cougars for recruits.

Although the Huskies have struggled of late, their success in the past and their tradition still have a lot of pull.
