OREGON STATE PICKED up a verbal commitment late last week from Jordan Poyer, the uber-athlete out of Astoria High who scored a heady 60 touchdowns his senior season and was named the state's 4A Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year. The plan is for him to delay his enrollment until next January but Poyer also said that's not set in stone just yet. Meanwhile, will strong safety be his calling?
