Signed with the Beavers in late February of 2002...son of Steve Clarkson, a former quarterback with the Denver Broncos...Steve Clarkson also played at San Jose State when Dennis Erickson was a Spartan assistant coach.

High School:
Started two years at Venice HIgh Schoool in Los Angeles...completed 273 of 425 passes for 5,497 yards and 55 touchdowns in 21 games...also rushed for 13 scores and 532 yards...was named first-team all-league, first-team all-region, and the Western League's Offensive Player of the Year his senior season.
