| Biography: |
Was noted for his exceptional speed, physical play, good anticipation and run support skills coming out of junior college. Turned in a 10.66 effort in the 100 meters in 2006. Attended Coffeyville, but due to Kansas JC rules limiting the number of active out of state players prior to the season, practiced with the football team in '06 without seeing game action while also running on the track team. JC football coaches said with hindsight, they would have activated him. For WSU, however, it results in an extra year of eligibility, with Giles having 3-to-play3.
As a prep senior in 2005 he was rated one of the top 100 prep football prospects in the state of Florida and one of the nation's top 65 prep cornerbacks by Scout.com. St. Petersburg Times ranked him No. 7 on its list of top prep football prospects in the Tampa-St. Pete area |
