2008: Afalava (off-ah-lava) has developed a reputation as a hard hitter...he enters the season with 17 straight starts and 25 overall...131 career tackles, the most on the active roster...prior to the 2007 season Mike Riley noted on Afalava -- “I don’t need to look, I can tell by the sound of the hit.
2007: Pac-10 Honorable Mention...third-leading tackler on the team with 64, including 56 solos...career-high 11 tackles at Arizona State and 10 in the season opener vs. Utah...recovered two fumbles for the season, both against UCLA, returning one 33 yards in the first quarter for a TD. |
