| Biography: |
| Former Bruin receiver Karl Dorrell, was named the head coach at UCLA on December 18, 2002.
After a career in which he left UCLA in the top 10 in receptions and yards, Dorrell briefly played in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys, before returing to UCLA as a graduate assistant (1988).
From there, Dorrell went to Central Florida (1989), Northern Arizona (1990-91), Colorado (1992-93) and Arizona State (1994). Dorrell returned to Colorado as an offensive coordinator (1995-98) then to Washington (1999) before joining the Denver Broncos staff as a WR coach from 2000-2002.
His hire at UCLA by Bruin AD Dan Guerrero signified his first head coaching job. |
